Hi guys! So I know this is kind of a late post already but whatever, I know I HAVE to post this because of too much 'fangirling' feels and excitement that I have never felt before--with a band. As you all know, The Script is my ultimate favorite band in the whole wide world! I have been a fan since the first time I heard The Man Who Can't Be Moved and I was still a freshman high school that time! Not only that they make really good music--they also serve as my inspiration. The Script has inspired me love and enjoy life more. And though sometimes, we may fall, we must learn how to accept things and move on. No words could perfectly describe how much I love Danny, Mark and Glenn! They are just amazing human beings I never thought could exist in this universe!
Anyway, when I heard that they're going to have a concert AGAIN here in Manila, I knew I couldn't let this chance pass again. I wasn't able to watch their first concert here since I was still in the province in my high school years so you could really feel my despair when I knew I couldn't watch and hear them sing live. But deep inside, I have the feeling that I would really see them live soon. And I was right! That wishful thinking eventually came true when Manila Concerts Scene officially announced that they would be performing in Manila for their #3 World Tour! I was really excited and immediately contacted my friends who are also their fans. We were able to buy the tickets the third day it was released and man, the VIP section is already sold out! And there are few more seats left for the other sections! Well, I anticipated that it would be a sold-out concert but I didn't expect that tickets would be sold that fast! Okay, so I really wanted to buy the VIP ticket since there are many perks and I know it would be super sulit but yeah, everything was sold out the moment we went to Ticketnet. Ugh! I even remembered buying that ticket 4 months right before the concert!
Then, MCS announced that they would be having a Meet-and-Greet contest! Of course, I SHOULD JOIN and I know, (deep inside) that I SHOULD WIN. So here's what I submitted to them:
The Script has been one of my favorite bands ever since I was in high school. I've been one of their biggest fans since then. Their songs never fail to impress, inspire, amaze and touch me. The honesty and sincerity of the lyrics of every song makes me realize a lot of things. I could still remember their first ever concert in Manila. I was in my province back then and you could imagine my frustrations and sadness when I knew I won't be able to watch them live. But I was still hoping that someday I would see them and there's a part of me that's always telling me that they will come back here. So when I got here in Manila, I promised myself that if they are indeed coming back here again, I know I can't and won't miss it.
So when I first saw the post about The Script coming back in Manila for the 2nd time, I was really excited and stoked! So I bought myself a ticket. (yay!) Even though it's not VIP, the feeling of seeing my favorite band LIVE would really make me happy but what would make me the happiest is that when I would meet them in person.
I've been constantly checking updates in Facebook and Twitter if there's a meet and greet contest and just recently, I found out that there really is a contest! So I quickly studied for my concept on how my picture would turn out since part of the criteria is the creativity. Well, basically... I'm all about simplicity and minimalism. I searched for The Script's #3 album poster and I got my inspiration there.
My favorite The Script song would not just limit into one but two which are 'The Man Who Cant be Moved' and 'First Time'. I just love how sincere and honest the lyrics of the songs are. It expresses how love can be so powerful and how love can make us do things that we think we can't actually do. Not only does it talk about love, but it also tells us about faith, hope, sacrifice and compromise.
Meeting Danny, Mark and Glen in person and telling them how much they inspire me would be such an honor! It would mean the world to me! And I'm not saying this because I want to win this, but because it's true. I hope you would give me the chance for this dream to turn into reality and make it indeed, a happiest Easter for me.
Unfortunately, they didn't pick me :( And I even cried the night that they announced the winners and that my name was not on the list :( But oh well, moving on... March 31 finally came and I honestly cannot contain my excitement! Aaaaaaaaaaah!!! I even painted a customized shirt with The Script lyrics on it! (Talk about major fangirling feels!)
It was my first time to see Araneta jampacked with people like literally! The colisuem was so full, there are even people who don't have seats anymore yet they paid the exact price of our tickets. Insane! (For the love of The Script, indeed!) The show was supposed to start 8 PM but as expected, it started an hour late. And finally---I could see and hear Danny, Mark and Glenn!!!! Aaaaaah! They sang Good Ol' Days as their opening.

When they played The Man Who Can't Be Moved, Breakeven, For The First Time and Nothing, I literally burst into tears because of happiness and my God, there were goosebumps all over me! No kidding! It was also funny when they were about to play Nothing, Mark told us to do something inappropriate which was to call our exes. Haha! Danny also grabbed a fan's phone while singing Nothing!!!! Talk about major lucky! She may not be able to watch the concert but Danny freaking O' Donoghue just serenaded her!!!!!!
And like their other concerts in other countries, they would have to take a picture on the stage with silly props and acting with the crowd. And since it was Easter, I anticipated they would wear bunny ears and you know, Easter stuffs and I was damn right! Here's the picture:

Another important highlight that night was the fact that they did an encore AFTER the encore! And Glenn even tweeted that it was their first time they did that ever! So Manila must me really lucky! Amazing! After the concert, I immediately uploaded some of the videos that I took during the concert (some--because most of them are really shaky since my friend I were freaking out the whole time! Good thing my cousin was there to record everything. Haha!) And saw this random video from someone who also went to the concert that night. And to my surprise, I could hear my voice loud and clear, screaming Danny's name like a desperate kid who wants a candy! No joke! She must be probably sitting near us. This, ladies and gentlemen, has got to be the best of the best concert I've ever been! Thank you to the producers but most of all, thank you God for making this happen!This would surely be an unforgettable and memorable experience for me that I would gladly share this story to my future grandchildren. For the nth time, I love you so much The Script! Please come back again, soon okay?
